Iron Bull Demolition is a rapidly growing company specializing in residential and commercial demolition, junk removal, and site cleanup across Southwestern Ontario. We’re looking for a Hybrid Estimator / Project Manager to help expand our operations, manage ongoing projects, and strengthen relationships with new and existing contractors. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is detail-oriented, and wants to grow with a company that values initiative, leadership, and integrity.
Position Overview
The Estimator / Project Manager will play a dual role — responsible for preparing accurate demolition estimates while managing awarded projects from start to finish. This hybrid position combines remote estimating with on-site project coordination, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and profitability.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to assist in developing Iron Bull’s future Abatement, Hazardous Materials, and Residential Renovation Divisions, supporting long-term growth in environmental and selective demolition services.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Bidding
Review and interpret blueprints, demolition legends, and keynotes to prepare accurate takeoffs and cost estimates.
Use Bluebeam Revu and other digital takeoff tools to measure, calculate, and price labour, disposal, and equipment.
Develop itemized estimates with low, mid, and high pricing tiers, including profit margins and markups.
Track and manage bid boards and tender portals, identifying new opportunities.
Actively monitor and navigate current and new bid boards to identify bid opportunities and maintain a strong project pipeline.
Conduct outreach calls to general contractors, consultants, and project managers to introduce Iron Bull and generate new leads.
Build and maintain a pipeline of bid opportunities and awarded work.
Project Management
Oversee awarded demolition projects from mobilization through closeout.
Coordinate crew schedules, equipment rentals, disposal bins, and subcontractors.
Conduct on-site visits to validate scope, ensure safety compliance, and monitor progress.
Work closely with Construction Managers to ensure the scope of work is clearly understood and that all planning, logistics, and preparation are in place to execute projects at the highest standard and within established timelines.
Manage change orders, holdbacks, and project documentation.
Track labour, equipment, and disposal costs against budgets to ensure project profitability.
Maintain clear communication with clients, trades, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Business Development & Growth
Represent Iron Bull at pre-bid meetings, site walks, and client visits.
Build and maintain relationships with GCs, consultants, and property managers.
Support the future growth of Iron Bull’s Abatement, Hazardous Materials, and Residential Renovation Divisions, assisting with estimating and project coordination as these areas expand.
Identify opportunities to diversify services and strengthen Iron Bull’s market presence.
Qualifications & Skills
Technical Skills
Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu for takeoffs and markup is essential.
Experience with additional digital takeoff tools is considered an asset.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, demolition scopes, and keynotes.
Skilled in preparing accurate labour, disposal, and equipment takeoffs.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and organizational tools.
